X-ray inspection of technological pipelines

Technological pipelines are intended for transportation of substances with toxic effect, explosive and fire hazardous substances. Depending on the hazard class of the transported substance (explosion, fire hazard and harmfulness), they are divided into groups (A, B, C) and depending on the operating parameters of the medium (pressure and temperature) – into five categories (I, II, III, IV, V).

Categories of pipelines determine the set of technical requirements for the design, installation and scope of control of pipelines. The volume of X-ray inspection of technological pipelines can be up to 100% of the total volume of welded joints.

As a rule, x-ray control “technology” implies large amounts of control and high speed of installation. As a result, the laboratory must be present at the facility every day, and the control is carried out by several links of specialists (depending on the intensity of the work). Our Non-destructive testing laboratory has a successful experience in X-ray testing of technological pipelines for a long time at different facilities.

The scope of work on  X-ray inspection of technological pipelines includes the following stages:

  • setting up a laboratory at the Customer’s site, organizing equipment storage, arranging premises for a processing room, an office, providing a “zero folder”, etc.
  • organization of document flow between installation organizations, technical supervision, the Customer and the laboratory
  • interaction with technical supervision on the delivery of works
  • other works

Our Non-destructive testing laboratory is your reliable partner in the field of quality control of technological pipelines!
