The standard sample SO-2 is used in the control of products made of low-carbon and low-alloy steels with an ultrasonic flaw detector to determine:
– conditional sensitivity;
– dead zone;
– depth gauge errors;
– beam entry angle;
– width of the main lobe of the radiation pattern;
– impulse conversion factor;
– extreme sensitivity.






Specifications:





– made of steel grade 20 or steel grade 3 according to GOST 14637;
– the velocity of propagation of a longitudinal wave in the sample material at a temperature of 20±5 °C is 5900±59 m/s;
– propagation time of ultrasonic vibrations in the forward and reverse directions 20±1 µs;
-geometric dimensions comply with the requirements of GOST 14782
