Fluorescent-hydraulic control
Methods luminescent-hydraulic and hydraulic with a luminescent indicator coating allow you to combine the control of strength with the control of the tightness of the object.
Control technology:
The object of control is filled with a working solution until the air is completely expelled, in the order adopted for the control by the hydraulic method. The exposure time of the object under the test pressure of the working solution must be at least, for the thickness of the controlled material:
up to 4 mm – 15 min;
over 4 mm – up to 60 minutes (adding 3 – 5 minutes for each millimeter of thickness).
The exposure time when checking the tightness of the fastening of pipes in tube sheets can be increased up to 1 hour.
Inspection of the surface of the controlled object in the rays of ultraviolet light is carried out in conditions of complete or partial darkening of the controlled area, after the pressure in the object is reduced to the working one.
The exposure time of the object under the working pressure is not limited.
It is allowed to inspect the surface of the object at a pressure reduced to atmospheric.
The luminescent-hydraulic control method is often used in the nuclear power industry.
