Residual magnetization may occur during mechanical processing of metal (for example, grinding) or remain after magnetic particle testing.

The magnetization  of pipes does not allow obtaining a good quality of the seam, their demagnetization  before  welding  is a necessary technological operation. Also, the presence of residual magnetization on finished products is not acceptable in a number of industries. Products must be demagnetized.
